Resolved six bolt &7 bolt oil filter housing differance?

Ok so my oil filter housing cracked when i was puting my prosport oil sending unit in and i do not have another six bolt housing. I do however have a seven bolt housing and it appears like it will work but i want to double check with u guys before i go through the monatony of bolting it all back together just to find out it wont work.

The bolt patterns are different. The bottom two bolts on a 7-bolt are roughly 1.25 inches apart, center to center. The same bolts on a 6-bolt are roughly 1.875 inches apart.

Ok thanks guys. Guys i coulda just tried it and saw it didnt bolt up. They looked visually the same. I just tgought there may have been some internal diffrence

Ok well i went out and actually measured all the bolt holes with a caliper on both housings and they are exactly the same so then i bolted it on and the seven bolt fits perfect except for the hard oil lines seem to be tight on the block. Easy fix i believe. Ill post pics in a bit
