sitting at school and car wont start :(

im sitting here and my car wont move. i turn the key and it just goes ZZZZZZ really loudly, thats it, i cant even tell if its trying to turn over. sounds awful. i dont know what it could possibly be or anything i can do to get home. any ideas?

Check the battery terminals. Sounds like your battery is low/dead or has a bad connection.

if sounds like your starter isn't liking the flywheel, get some friends to help you push start it.

I misread your post, are you hearing a click sound or a grinding sound? The click would be a battery, but the grinding would most likely be the gear on your starter isnt engaging the flywheel enough and the gear is probly toast. You may need a new starter..

Starter is my guess, make sure the two 14 mm bolts are tight that hold it on, mine backed out a little and I had the same problem. I tightened them up and it was fine.

Glad you found out what it was. Just for your own sake I would take the starter out and check it out. And "IF" its damaged bad enough youll have to replace.
