Hiya... So I have a 1997 GST Spyder Auto with only a cone filter adapted to the stock MAF and some aftermarket spark plug wires, that's it, stock otherwise.

My question is, what would y'all recommend as simple bolt-on mods that would get me to 250whp, reliably. My first thoughts were to get a cat-back, FMIC, and a Tune. Would that do it? Or would it be better to just upgrade the turbo?

250whp is just an arbitrary number, no real reason, just a nice round number. I don't really drive it all that hard, spend most of the time just cruisin' around town, but would like the HP there just in case I need it.

Suggestions are appreciated! TIA.

The old threads are still here. They are still correct. I will always say maintenance first. We learned long ago these are old cars. Make them right first then follow the steps.

Thanks y'all. I'll take a look at that thread.

I did the maintenance on it this spring when I put the car back on the road for the season. I only got the car last fall and it went undercover soon after. Now that i'll be driving it for a longer period of time, I thought I would do some simple mods to enhance the driving experience.

Question about one of the mods, removing the inner fender well by the stock I/C, how is that beneficial? Is it just for better air flow?
