I want a turbo that will give me some decent top end..

I can hang w/ every turbo honda I've ever raced till about 60-70 but then my boost falls out WAYY before redline. I got a T25 now with decent supporting mods but I was wondering if a s16g holds boost to redline better then a 14b?

I'm sick of turbo's that choke when I slam it into 3rd gear. I was gona buy a 14b but I heard its the same problem with a little more punch and efficiency.

What turbo is that?!? A 2000trim?ROFL

Close, it's a 2100 trim. I'm running it right now, worst part was trying to fab up an exhaust manifold for it. I hope to be in the 3's by the end of the summer.

I bet our little motors wouldn't even be able to turn the turbine wheel on that sucker!!! Give on of those Evo III GT Turbos a shot, they have one with a 2g install kit on ebay right now

You could get it cheaper from one of the auction ones. Just seen one go for 200 shipped.

I have heard many good things about it, some bad. (but I hear bad about every turbo)

thanks for the story and the motivation but unfortunately the few hondas I've raced have been nasty to say the least.

Single cam built motor with a .57 trim (355whp)

LS motor (dont know to much about) saw dyno sheets and talked to the guy for a while it was a dc teg that put down 270whp and he still beat me.

and the kicker is I stick with these people till sometimes 70 (from a 20roll) but then the T-25 wants to roll over dead. So moral of the story is I want a supra style pull from 60+ because where I'm from (tampa) everybody is trapping 120+ and I want to be able to keep up.

I'll list my mods in a sec

U/D pulley
hard uicp
1g bov crushed
K&N w/ 2.25 mandrel bent intake pipe
Joe P MBC
walboro 255
autometer phantom boost gauge
solid motor mounts
3in SS d/p
3inch turbo back w/o cat and big mouth muffler
etc..

Ok listen, this is very simple. Just make sure you understand what I'm saying. YOU WILL NOT BEAT A 300+WHP HONDA ON THE HIGHWAY!:tease:

It just isn't going to happen with any turbo that anyone has suggested so far. The Green, MAYBE. Your typical EG Civic weighs in about 600lbs less than your car. EF's can be almost 1000lbs less. You're going to need a massive amount more power to make up for that size differance.

My friend had an EG Civic with a stock B16A, a 62 trim T3/T04 (like .64 a/r compressor .63 exhaust, I don't remember exactly), and a few bolt ons. Running 10psi it completely destroyed everything we raced, including a Z06, a 6.0 GTO, STi's, EVO's, etc. The only thing he ever lost to was a 450whp Colt.

Moral of the story? Trying to beat turbo Hondas on the highway is not the most intelligent goal for a DSM owner.:thumb:

BigT-28 or MHI Evo16g would most likely solve your problem. they are nice turbos that keep stock apearance.
Also i didnt wanna believe the fuel pressure thing until i got my gauge in...

After that i put the car in the garage and waited until i got the new regulator built and put in.
Yea....if you're doin at least 21psi.

One thing somone isnt pointing out is, what do you want? Do you want a car that topends hard. Those hondas that pull" Are running pretty decent sized turbos, if it was me a 60trim you said you want supra pull? Your going to have to deal with some lag thats not a big deal for me but I dont know how you feel about that.

Cheapest is the bolton 60trim with cams and support mods would be a decent setup, this is just my opinion thats all.

You have some really slow DSMs in your area then, hes does have a GST so hes not going to have the same drivetrain loss as a AWD would so his top end is going to be better.

Why not get a FPBig28 from extremepsi.com? It ran a 11.8 on a gsx. Similar spoolup to T25, capable of like 300ish hp, stock looking...hell I know I'll be getting one soon. And don't forget no hassle with install kits for 16g or 14b on 2g. Install kits are like 230 bucks and 16gs like 550 now? thats just 20 bucks shy of a T28 LOL. Just my advice though.

Actually install kits are $160 from extremepsi.com:thumb:

Why in this day would you consider a 14B or a small 16G for your 2G??

MHI Evo3's can be had for less than $550 and you can get the Evo3 GT with a 2g install kit for less than $750.

I just don't get it.

Well, the Small 16g will give you better power than an Evo3 untill about 24psi with stock cams and intake manifold, at a much better price.

I have some really fast Honda's in my area. Do you realize you need a 400whp DSM to keep up with a 300-350whp EF Civic? Never mind if he's got a GS-T, all the worse. He's down the one advantage DSM's should have, AWD. So now he's got no traction and a heavy car. What does he have going for him?

I think he's referring to the sense that he's racing on the highway. Less drivetrain power loss for better top speeds, and since he's going from a roll anyways (or I assume he is) then there isn't as much need for the AWD traction like if they're starting from a stop. That's what I assumed being the reason why people call GS-Ts "highway killers".

True. Its just IMO, these are the wrong cars (FWD's) to be fixing up for Honda killing. If you want a FWD highway killer, just get the Honda.

.............or a Hayabusa LOL

Ok you're right. Let me rephrase.

If you want a highway killer but have a health fear of death and injury, get a Honda.

Otherwise get a sport bike.:thumb:

What the hell are you talking about?!

Have you ever been in a fast fwd dsm or even a fast dsm for that matter?

My freinds fwd with HKS272s and a 60trim is very fast from a roll on, GST are one of the best rollon" cars along with Srt4s etc. I really dont get it, you around to many honda fan boys.

well depending what speed rememeber that being so light on the highway after speeds of about 130 they cant deal with the windforce as well because of the lightness unless he was drafting someone, i think hed be more of a race up to like 120 but after that hondas are too light for major speeds.... ( i dont know your friends car in perticular though with the turbo civic )

Watch out with this auction. The turbo is not a mitsubishi turbo, its a knock off built by SSAutochrome and more than likley wont last more than a month if your lucky.
