shut the door the drivers door automatically lock

i got a automatic 420a car today for cheap to drive around.
When you shut the door the drivers door automatically locks...is there a way to disable this?

Well you could take the really cheap route and just clip the wires that go to the lock and have to manually lock your door. Once you get in the habit of manually locking your door, it's so easy you don't notice you do it.
