Thanks I think I might have the only modded DSM with chrome rims! (aside from the factory GST rims) In my opinion you just can beat chrome rims on a black car, it looks to sweet!

Plenty of people have done chrome on a DSM, just not tastefully.

Yo D Eclipse9916,

That is a NICE set up you have there!

What size rims (height and width) and tires did you get (for front and back if different) and how much did you lower your car?

Very nice, good job! :thumb:

Wow thanks a lot guys for the props. For width and height look at what your doing with the setup. As these were my daily/autox wheels I didnt need anything too wide that I had to worry about rubbing or change anything. Then I Wanted something that looked gorgeous and also would clear a BBK, so 17s or 18s. Therefore I chose a 18x7.5. Allowing me to run a lot of different stock tires (I seem to pick up a lot of used sets for free between 215 and 235). I then run a 235 as a rule of thumb in autox is run as wide as possible, not worrying about bulging rims. For road racing I have 17x8s with 225s so that shows the difference in setups between autox, daily driving, and road racing.

If I was to do it again, probably a 18x8 for DD duty, and 17x8.5 for road racing.

As for lowering im running coilovers so its completely adjustable, however make sure that it is high enough so that when you hit full suspension travel you dont hit anything!

D_Eclipse9916..

Oooo I am jealous. those are the 5zigens I want for my car... except the matt black colored ones. Damn things are expensive though.

Hey just to let you know 245's fit nicely on 7.5 rims no bulging.:thumb:

I run 18" Motegi chromes.

I love when the back is not as lowered as the front. Gives it that corvette look :sneaky:

ewwww.....:barf:

Sorry, if that's your idea of a good stance, you need to look at some better rides for motivation. And don't do the black with a polished lip, that look went out like 2 years ago. :nono:
