Anyone know what wheels these are? They came on this car when I got it a few years back and I really need to find some center caps

Every single thing about your car gives me a damn hardon..

LOL thanks.

Just wait about a month or so and I'll be putting up a rebuild thread when the car is done. It will look the same outside but I'm in the midst of a full rebuild using a '99 GST 2.0 block (yes, I KNOW its a 7-bolt but the later 7-bolts with the 3 piece thrust bearings are far less prone to CW and my '98 block also went 120K miles without it too). Core mods DSMlink V3, electronic boost control, tunes for both E85 and 93 octane gas, Wiseco HD1400 pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, FP 68HTA turbo, FIC 950s, FP2 cams, beehive springs, EVOIII intake, BS elimination, etc., etc., etc.

The build is being done in Orlando by a well-known DSMer there named Jose Clavijo, I was referred to him by the folks at JNZ Tuning. Real nice guy and really knows his stuff. There was no one in Miami who I could find that I remotely would trust to do this build for me.

Rocking some stock 93 TSi rims! :hellyeah:

I don't think they look too shabby. But i'll be getting some gold 17" Rota Grids soon.

Does this Jose guy work at a shop? The only shop I know of around here with experience with DSMs is Kings Performance so I'd like to know if I have more options! :thumb:

No he works on DSMs as a side job from home. He works full time in the Information Technology field but has been a gear head and DSMer for ages and fairly well known on the Orlando DSM boards.

He'll take on a one major build like mine at a time and smaller jobs during that as well. Since its side work it takes longer than if a full time shop but he is really excellent. He also works exclusively with one and only one machine shop in Orlando for all the major machining requirements - told me it took him years to find a competent and reliable machinist.

The owner of JNZ Tuning in PA referred me to Jose about 2 years ago and I had planned doing this build with him over 2 years back for when my original stock engine eventually needed it. A broken rod and resulting perforated block killed my prior '98 engine - which had never been worked on by Clavijo so that was not his fault.

k sport control pro with custom drag valves and 20k rear springs .

Fenders are not rolled yet but after I switch to 235 and drop it a lil more.

Due to the drop, I had to roll the rears. The fronts need a roll too because I can make the slightly rub under hard braking turn in.
Didn't need rolled at stock height.

I agree. There is just something about these wheels that I love every single time I see them. :thumb:

Stock ride height? Are the fender rolled? What suspension? Sorry for all the question but i have 17x9 +25 and i want widest tire that fit without rubbing. Don’t want to stretch a 225 to fit.

i have the rims but no tires yet

What do they weigh?

what was the height on the 245?how much more of drop on the 235? do you have pictures? last set of questions LOL thank for your help

Those Cobra SVT wheels look pretty good. I wonder if that 17x9 will stick too far out on my 1G as I have no coilovers and just a basic lowering spring set up.

I'd worry about the inner clearance too, depending on backspacing. I'd not be able to run my setup with strut/springs.
