Should this cause no compression?

Like some of you may already know, my engine took a turn on me couple Wednesdays ago. Come to find out I had no compression in cylinder 2 and 3. Well after finally getting the passenger axle out the way (broke it should i say) I decided to pull the head. I also checked base timing before doing so and to my surprise it was spot on. I finally get the head off (which is kinda hard for doing it by myself being 5'5" and the car being jacked up ) and I found this:

So what did you find? Was it bad piston ring? Or how about the head gasket?

It was actually the gasket. I guess I accidentally posted two threads about it but there is a thread with pictures of the gasket. Hopefully one of the mods can merge them or delete. Thanks for your concern.
