Well i've been looking for a 4g63t but havent found one in my range yet. Last night i found a 90 fwd turbo laser with a bad CAS. i offered to trade the guy my 93 nt and he said he would do it. My plans were to swap the nt to turbo this coming spring. It would be easier though to just trade for a car thats already turbo'd though and replace the CAS. Im kinda torn since i dont know if the CAS is the only problem since it wont start. So guys what im asking is should i trade my 93nt for a 90 fwd turbo with a bad cas or just keep my 93 and swap it in the spring like i planned?

It kind of depends on the condition of each car. If yours is in good shape and his is rusty or beat up, then I wouldn't. If they are in about the same condition then I would do it. Also check mileage too. If yours is lower and his is higher, I probably wouldn't trade.

Is the car near you? Any way to inspect it yourself? You should wait and find an AWD in my opinion. Unless the car is in overall good shape besides the CAS

I would keep yours as a DD and buy an AWD when the time comes. Don't get an FWD if you want AWD, it's not the same, at all. Be patient, one (or two in my case) will fall into your lap at a good price.

If AWD is not a priority because of budget, turbo swap shouldn't be either

I picked up my '98 TSi AWD for a grand, needed a new windshield and valve cover, 96k miles.

Be patient.

i already have a running 6 bolt motor/trans lined up for less than $500 where as an awd would run me at least 2-3k and thats why i was waiting until spring when my daily would be paid off. :D

Oh I see. Then I'd just be patient like Absit said. What do you have right now a 4g63 non turbo or a 1.8l ?
