I’m having trouble with one fan coming on. The A/C fan works fine but I can’t get the other one to come on with the coolant temp sensor. With the key on I don’t have any voltage at my pink fuseable link #7.

Yes. It is 97 turbo gst. I pulled the link out and tested the space and there’s very very little voltage. The link is good.

The guy that had the car before threw a bunch of money on parts and things . So there’s new coolant, thermostat, radiator cap, coolant temp sensor, new water pump , new Megan radiator, new mishimoto fans.

Remember to disconnect one battery terminal before lifting up that fusebox. Hopefully he wired up those 2 wire mishimoto fans correctly (on the DSM's 4 wire connectors) and that wasn't the reason a wire melted under the fusebox. You should check how he wired them.

It was… the one fan was pinned wrong… I had to re-pin the connector.

Grrr. Okay so I have power at the fuseable link apparently I guess I didn’t check it right or what… but I have power at my relays and my relays all work. I can jump the relays and the fan comes on.. so I’m thinking it’s somewhere coming out of the ecu or maybe the temp sensor something’s wrong.

It’s got a brand new coolant temp sensor

I think I am going to just wow o the relays together and put them on a switch for now. But…. I’m wondering how much this will affect emissions and me smogging it here in California. One day maybe I’ll come across a dsm link

Well it's possible you have a bad ECU that's not turning the fans on. Are you running the factory ECU?

Here's when the factory 4 wire fans are supposed to turn on:

Here's the correct way to wire in 2 wire fans:

And here's a clever way I came up with to override control of the fans (or let the ECU control them):
