Should I change the timing belt?

Hey guys we just got a 92 talon tsi awd. Anyways the car has been sitting for 7 or 8 years. The car has 113k on it and the belt was replaced around 60k. Will the belt be ok to run for a while then change it around the 120k mark? Or should we change it now since it has been sitting for so long or will it be fine?

I agree the belt is going to be unevenly stretched from sitting in one place all that time.

Sounds like were going to be changing it. We knew we would do it soon anyways. We want to pull the motor anyways since the oil pan is leaking.

Rule of thumb - If you think you "might" have to change it - JUST DO IT!
