Should I buy a gst?

I own a 2002 eclipse gs and I found a 97 gst with 200,000 miles on the body, 140,000 on the motor and 20,000 on the tranny. The guy is asking $3,500 or trade a 2000+ eclipse with an automatic tranny which I have right. The Kelly blue book value for his car is $3,500 like he posted but mine is around $5,000. That I know of his is stock. Do u think this is a fair trade or what would make it a fair trade? Also I would like to know if the gst has any problems with running right?

Just take your time to find a good one, and take care of it. It will be good to you.

Oh, and I'm calling major BS on your friend's claim to 400whp on a naturally aspirated 420a. Unless it wasn't a 420a? Last time I was over on 2gnt.com when I used to have a GS, I think the Highest rated HP on a non-turboed application was about 220 whp. Which was well built and very impressive for what it was. Trust me they know what they are doing over there with that engine.

Perhaps your buddy was using the bottle? A 420a wont get to 400hp easily, if at all without some induction help.

Just sayin, thems the facts.
