shock problems...someone help!!

My shock keeps popping up..... ill jack the car up and itll go back down but then i drive it and hit a bump it come right back up. its really close to hitting my hood from the inside .. i really need help! heres a pic of it

get a new shock and upper mount

i have nice shocks is there anyway i can just get a new upper mount??

Some new upper shock mounts should fix that problem. Those ones on the car are probably worn well past their useful life. Any local parts store should be able to get you a set off new ones. Just make sure to have the strut disassembled and reassembled correctly. Those coil springs have alot of energy stored in them and can be deadly if not treated properly.

im still kinda confused though. are the upper mounts like a rubber ring lookin thing? are the upper mounts vehicle specific or shock specific. these shocks are pritty new i didnt think they would be worn but i didnt install these shocks the guys who owned it before me did. must have not done to good of a job.

Here is a picture of the upper shock mount from CAPS. They are specific to the car, and not the shocks.
