The last time I got my car aligned after doing a bunch of suspension work the guy asked me about getting shims for the rear end since it's for a 1g fwd. I am wondering since I am going in for another alignment because I just replaced my rack and pinion if I should get the shims now or are they rally not worth it? I have GR2 shocks and this is my daily driver.

The alignement of the 1g fwd's rear tires dont change with the lower the car. They will always stay straight due to it beeing a complete swing arm assembly. So no the shims are not needed.

The 2g's can use shine in the rear. Maybe they only had one model of DSM in the system so they assumed it was the same for the 1g's.
