shims for bc cam regrinds??

i got a pair of bc regrinds 264/272 that i bought used it came with the shims. now where do these shims go?? between the lifter nose and rocker? or between lifter bottom and head? i tried to put it between the rocker and lifter nose but the rocker will just slide off and the shim (washer will fall off) but when i get it on there with the cam on top the lifter to rocker end is so high it hits the lobes. im confuse share some info please.

You need to put the shims under the lifters. Pull the lifters up and place them under them.

Also make sure that the lifter doesn't move to much or you have to run 2 shims .

alright thanks just installed it.. its pretty tight and compress with shims on. i still got 2 extra shims... now how do i check for play in lifters?

dude i swear the dude that sold it to me showed me a demonstration with the shim on top of the lifter nose and rocker
