I have a set of crower springs and ti retainers and am wondering if they will still work well with the 280 cams. I plan on reving this motor out to 8.5k, will the crower springs be enough?

no you need to go dual springs. Crowers are only good for 272s there like only 20-30% more seat pressure.

On the Brian Crower website it says they require the BC single spring kit. Those springs are almost identical to the Crower springs, I don't see it being a problem. If you have any doubts contact both companies and see what they have to say.

Those springs you have will be fine. They say you need a spring, and retainer kit with new cams just to cover their asses, that your not putting cams that are really aggresive on the stock springs, and retainers that have 140k on them. The single springs, can handle quite a bit, it takes a crazy cam to truely need dual springs.
