The same day I added bearings on the tranny end of my shift cables, I tried to replace the bushings holding the shifter plate down. I started loosening one up only to snap it off inside the hole. Damn. I was more careful with the second and when I felt it start to resist I added oil and backed it in and out quite a few times. It still felt like it would twist in half so I gave up and tightened my remaining 3 back down.
I assume I'll have to use an extractor on the broken one (assuming it will come out), but does anyone have any ideas for getting the remaining ones out? I will be putting in better tranny fluid when i do my clutch next week and would like to do this to compliment the new setup.
