shift cables

so i have a quick question i,m pretty shore that i broke my shift cables on my 1g because i have no forward gears i have tried to adjust them but no good so can you use the fwd shift cables with the awd cars any help would be great. thank you

Couldn't see why not but I don't deal with fwd's so don't take my word on it wait for someone with a fwd to confirm or deny that.I got a set of 91 awd shifter cables if you end up looking for a pair.Selling them cheap.

On a 1g fwd and awd cables will interchange. Most important is 1990 cars have different cables from '91-'94. '90 fwd and awd are the same. '91-94 fwd and awd are the same. I hope this helps.

Did you actually look under the hood with someone else moving the shifter to see if the shifter cables move or not?

ya we did look under and i did remove the cables from the tranny to move the it throw throw the gears.
