Sheetmetal install, now im getting CAS code!? Help please

So heres the run through... cars a 99GST with a semi built 6 bolt swap. I did the swap about 4 years back and its been nothing but perfect to me (knock on wood). I decided over the winter (Jan) to tear into it and do a Magnus SMIM, Slim Braille battery, FP race exhaust manifold, and ditch the POS greddy FMIC for an ETS race setup with short pipes.

With countless projects going on the car sat and sat, far too long but it happens. I got back to it this week and cranked out the remaining loose ends to finish up. Hacked the OEM battery tray and fabricated a pretty sweet new one as well. So its all finished up and we go to start her up. (keep in mind it ran perfect when I pulled it apart)

Crank crank no start, it attempts to but doesn't. Thought about it after a second try and I forgot to flip my plug wires being that I have link. At this point the plugs are drenched with fuel... clean the plugs, no luck. Turn off the pump with link and attempt to burn off some of the excessive fuel...put new plugs in... tries to start but nope. At this point I swap out the coil pack, ignitor, MAS with one that I KNOW runs for sure. Nothing changes. I then check for codes and find that I have a CAS code... 0340 "Cam Angle Sensor Circuit Malfunction" NOTHING was touched in the wiring during the swap and all of the swap wiring was done professionally.

Swap CAS with one I know works and still nothing. Disconnect the battery to reset the code and try again... comes back immediately.

I have the harness all pulled apart to see if I can find a break or anything... so far nothing at all. The CAS works, I tested it in a running car. What else would cause this? Also do the coil pack and ignitor have to be bolted down/grounded? Thought they had a ground wire and I know ive tested them before with out mounting them down in their locations before and had the car running.

I know it seems crazy since the car was down so long but I have to say this is getting to me now. I have it sooo close and just want to have the car back on the road so any ideas or suggestions would be great.

I know stuff like this drives you crazy . . . Tear into the car doing un-related work/upgrades, & then this crap happens. Check to see if you have good power & ground at the cas w/key on. If you do, then the cas. pulse signal wire to the ecu is probably broken or shorted somewhere. On the 6 bolt, the cas. also acts as the 2G`s crank sensor signal generator, however you dont have a code for that end of it . . .
