Installed TT, now im getting a CEL

[T is for TURBO]

just like its titled... I Installed a Turbo Timer (with the harness) and now I have a check engine light. Any ideas why? Is there a way of checking what the light is on for with out a datalogger?

I think if you figure out the cel it will make the problem more apparent. Just go to autozone or a similar parts store and they'll run a code check on it for free. If you still can't figure it out then let us know

So I took the car to Batozone and this is what they came up with... (ill scan the print off when i have time)

Trouble OBDII (Alpha) P code
Troubleshooting P1105
Dual Alternator Upper Fault


No idea what that means... But on the computer they used, it read something like "Fuel Air Meter"

any Ideas?

P1105 Open or shorted condition detected in the baro read solenoid control circuit

Got that from www.vfaq.com

Did you unplug any of the solenoids on the firewall when you were installing this? If so that could be your problem.

All I unplugged was the ignition switch so I could put the TT wireing harness in between, could that have caused it?

No i don't think so. I just did a search and all the other people having this problem had a bad fuel pressure solenoid and had to replace it. I would bet that would fix the problem for you as well.

One thing you should remember is that installing something that in turn seems to cause a problem could be just a coincidence. For example, I replaced all my vacuum lines in my car and then the same day my tranny went bad. Thats a stupid example but i think you get the point.

Thanks... Im going to take it in tommarow and have a compitant mechanic look take a look at it, rather than the ass hat that was working at autozone....

had my mechanic check it out, and you were right RossY, it was the fuel pressure solenoid.
Going to try to find one used for cheap...
