I use electrical tape (just cause I have a ton of it from work) to wrap the stainless TIGHT, then a mini grinder to cut it (cut in the middle of the tape) I've used chisels and stuff too.. But have been using the mini grinder with good success lately. Make the cut then un ravel what tape is left, exposing a clean cut, pop it into the fitting and screw it down.
 
Are you lining up the chisel and hitting it as hard as you can? the objective is to get the chisel to cut the line in 1 or 2 blows. Something is screwy man because it shouldn't be that hard.

Yes i did, i even had my dad try, maybe he's got shitty chisels. But i'm on vaction till sat, so i wont be able to try again till sunday:notgood:
