Well, I wasn't going to post it because it was a WEAK night, but I figure every one starts some place with new setups so I'll write up my first trip to the track on Thursday. I got the new setup together and wanted to get couple a 1/4 mile passes in to start the season. I live in Charleston, SC, so the closest 1/4 mile is 2.5 hours away at Carolina Dragway.

Onto the car, I don't have a race gas map on dsmlink because we don't have c16 locally. So, once at the track I added 5 gallons of c16, took away about 10% fuel and added 5-6 timing across the board for the first pass. This puts peak timing around 20. I also did not know how much my hallmans boost controller adds per turn, so I gave it 5 full turns with hopes it would be around 30psi.

I only got the chance to make couple passes, first pass I took it easy to see where I was at. First pass went 12.1@125. Laptop went into SLEEP right before I launched... Nice.. So my first pass gave me no info. So, other then knowing boost was around 27-28psi, I knew nothing else. On to my second pass. Since my check engine light didn't come on my first pass, I knew I wasnt getting any more knock then 3 degrees pulled via DSMlink, so I decided to grab the gears a little more this pass.

Results were an [email protected] Airfuel started around 11.0 at 6k and worked it's way up to 13.0 at 8750. My 1000cc injectors only got up to the 60's, so I got the fuel, just need to add it. Around the 12.8 area the car started pulling 2.5 timing because of knock. All and all I was happy, I added some fuel and left the boost alone. It's about 10:30pm and I hear the crowd go ewwww all the way from the stagging lanes. A trailer car smacked the wall... This ended the night. So I drained my race gas and drove 2.5 hours back home.

I wanted another run bad, I know the car is just begging for better times and all my hard work will pay off, but I didn't get the chance tonight. I look forward to next time.

Video isn't the greatest, but it was my friends girlfriends "first time" Whatever....

Next time I would leave the AFR around 12:1 and try for a bit more timing. That and some more boost and that babies in the 10's.

Thanks Tyler, I can't wait to get that 10 second slip. However, after some tuning last night, i'll be going back to the track with a different clutch. The act 2600 tapped out after over 70k miles of use! ( changed street disk 2 times and 1 new flywheel surface) Over all, it's crazy it made it this long.
