We knew the new turbo setup was lazy. We were not predicting it to take to nearly half track to get the turbo spooled all the way up. We would freight train the back half of the track but, waste too much room getting some steam going. On our last two runs we decided to launch the car(FWD) to get the turbo moving. We also upped the rev limiter to 9800rpm to give the driver a chance. Well it did not help is it went right to the limiter of course and locked him out of second both times. We have some ideas to get it into gear. This event was at only 38psi as we ran out of waste gate spring on the dyno and said we will see what happens at that. Plenty of fuel and boost left to go. Overall not complaints and the car did well. If we can find some money we will work on the flaws and safety equipment next.

He had a lap belt. For some reason he forgot the shoulder belt this run. His other runs I made sure but, this run I was trying to line him up straight so we could launch the car and forgot to remind him.

One step at a time. We rolled into it the first two passes and launched it the second two. Those were the first runs with the car so we are learning as we go.
Flyby video added.

The car has not been on a dyno jet in ten years. So we don't know where it "really" is. We tune on a mustang dyno and it made 550hp@38psi on that dyno uncorrected.

Looks like fun!

Needs to get traction ! LOL ... maybe some better aero, splitter, canards, etc. Anyone know of any wind tunnels available for testing? I sure would like to find one (not only for my project but a lot of people here in Colorado I imagine)

I would like to try this (hopefully next year my crap will be done)
