1/8th mile runs first time out with the new car/video inside!

Went to the track last night and did a few runs, first time with this car. All stock 1991 AWD. MBC and linkv3. Turned the boost up a little from stock and set the two step at 5k, i wanna start tunning it and see if i can lean it out a little and go a little faster. all original 88,xxx miles. i have agx shocks all around. 60 foots were 1.8s all night. My buddy took his sti to the strip for the first time and ran an 8.4! buddy with the srt did an 8.9 and so did the turbo coupe t-bird.

I was getting a few counts of knock, probably because it was like 120* outside. I wanna go back soon. Enjoy the vid!

Good runs. Guy in the STI needs to turn his launch control up to help from bogging out or slip the clutch slower. The Talon did great!

yea he had it set at 5600. we wanna try 6k. He was getting 1.9's for his 60 foot. There's def more left in it!

It's fun to get out there isn't it! Good runs, alot left in there.

Seems like every subaru I've ever seen at the dragstrip couldn't launch, not sure if it's something inherent in subies or what. I'll still take one for tearing up the backroads in the winter time!

I've never seen one launch either. I don't know if they are scared they will break or what. I heard the transmissions in them are junk.

The STi transmissions are decently stout. I've also noticed that many Subie's don't get out of the hole to hard either, but then my Dad goes 1.7s all day in his 06 STi with o launch control.

Yup, just with a boost controller and the ecmlink launch limit. Everything else untouched. oh, and good driving;D

and yes, it's at shadyshide. I just put a 35r and a bunch of other parts on the same car and I wanna try running it again. maybe even tonight.

and yes subi's launch ehhh, but damn does that thing tear up the back roads. My buddies a maniac around some turns.

and about the sti tranny's, i think they handle like 650ft/lb or something, i might be wrong though
