Well as some of you know and couple were waiting on I took the car to the local 1/8th mile track with my new tires and tach. Car was bogging on a launch at 7psi on street so we decided to up the boost to about 17psi out of the hole. I'll post pics of the tcase damage at the bottom of the post. Anyway destroyed the tcase put the spare in lowered the 2 step down to 7-8psi again. First pass rolled out of hole no 2 step at all just so i could see mph. Ran 8.0@113. Went back out ran 7.5@103 hitting the limiter in first and second. Went out for one last pass car came out of hole great for having 2step turned down. Short shifted out of first fell out of boost going into second gear, but pulled through and went a 7.0@114. Car has alot left in it just gotta find the point before breaking. Hope to find some video runs. I'll post up time slip tomorrow I'm headed to bed.

JB Weld, duct tape and bubble gum as seals. GTG. It's just a flesh wound.

Cool to see you getting it dialed in and good luck. 7.0 at 113 and lets add 30 for the last 1/2 track to a 143 is trap. That is hauling the groceries. Nice job man.

You run down at Kanawha Valley?
Yep

Yea last time I picked up exactly 30mph in the 1/4. If I could come out of the hole harder I think I could pick up a few more mph in the 1/8. Gotta find that point where I won't break the tcase

Was this car at the shootout the last couple years? I remember this burnt orange 1g and it was very nice and clean. I swear this as the car.

Not sure if I have seen this in person but I love the color. Reminds me of a darker version of my 84 Rx7. I do look forward to seeing this car if you are gonna be at the shootout next year.

I think the 144ish trap should be low mid 10s. That is quick. I know I will never build a 10 sec car. I was an 11sec DD and will totally content. The time, effort, commitment and investment to get into 10 seconds is insane. It seems like from dealing with Janet (Warren's FWD 1g) a constant battle to run this quick and be reliable.

mid to 140 traps could be mid 9s with a good 60ft with this turbo.

Understood and agreed. I know for myself personally I am no where close. I have a PB 1.7 60 foot and cars that I know run this MPH trap can get into high 8s and low 9s. Most of the guys that do these kinda of speed have more experience than I do and cut from 1.3 to 1.5 60s so they can get into higher 140s.

A few tubes of JB Weld and a little siver solder and you'll be back on the track in no time LOL :D

Impressive times man, congrats! I'd love to see a full 1320 run (not sure if you have one within range or not, but although i like the 1/8th mile it seems like it's over right when the fun is starting on a big turbo'd car like yours.

Are you making the boost on the line with just the 2 step or do you have some timing retard/anti-lag function going on there as well? Just wondering, :p i know DSmlink has some anti-lag style boost building built into it's launch setup (or so i've heard) which DSMlink has come leaps and bounds since it's introduction, along with being able to convert to speed density i have to say i'm impressed by the system with each new version/update (but i have wondered if you have to still go through calibrating the MAF to get boost est. and all that correct if you go straight to speed density??)

Yea we have it using a sort of antilag/timing retard function to build boost off the line, built 17psi to break the case, and lowered it to 7psi for the rest of the night so i could win the awd class and 150 bucks. Speed density tells you exactly how much boost you are building no calibrating or anything. Speed Density is amazing. As for seeing what it does in the 1320. I'm hoping to go this coming friday. Hopefully I get off work and have some times .

Get you a cam and mount it inside the car. It sounds like your falling out of boost between shifts. Work on that and you can pick up atleast .5

It did fall out of boost pretty bad on the 1-2 in the 1/8th

Make sure you are preloading the drivetrain. You will break one after another if you are just shocking shit shit out of it. Especially if you are building boost at the line off of antilag.

I did preload it, but we are going to be working on a better preload method . Anything to make it last
