Hello, everyone.
I just wanted to share my track time and see if Im doing okay for my mods at the track. My best time was as follows:

60' - 1.89

trap - 85 mph

et - 8.3

I will try and scan my slip soon. This was with bald Good Year street tires, 5500 rpm stutter box, Agx shocks set to the softest on all four corners, 11:1 afr, 93 octane fuel and 19 psi on my 18g - (not the new tdo6 18g, this is the one FP used to sell with the tdo5 turbine wheel on the 7cm housing.) When the track opens again ill be going in with 55k sb, 55k nlts, extended maps chip, new street tires, 24 psi,11.5:1 afr, and Id like to find info on adjusting the agx's for a better launch and 60' time.
So, for my mods is this an okay start, or am I a bit slow? Just wondering cause my friend with a 90 tsi awd with 2.5" cat back, 190 lph pump, fmic, 14 psi, and stock everything else on a NON TURBO ENGINE out of a gs on race gas did consistent 8.5 et's all night and i know the higher 9:1 compression makes his motor a little more efficient and all, but I was a little disappointed in my runs after seeing that. Of course, his reaction times were better than mine by a good bit and he could have been turning up the AEM tru boost to 20 psi and just telling me he was at 14 but he insisted it was on 14psi and didnt want to blow the poor n/t motor.
Anyhow, Im hoping to get into the 7 second 1/8th mile range when I start going again with the nlts to stay spooled between shifts and the higher boost and if i have to get cams to reach my goal then so be it but i will try without cams first.
Any replies will be appreciated.
Thx, Charles

From what I see you seem to be doing alright but there is more to be had with your setup. Try adjusting your suspension soft in the front and stiff in the back. You are making decent power to trap at 85mph but a 60' in the 1.7's will show you down in the 8.0s maybe into the 7.9's.

Yeah, I have been thinking about stiff in the rear and soft in the front but I couldnt find any solid info from someone who's done it and I was afraid of wheel hop and possibly breaking my poor 3 bolt rear with the act 2600 as I have already broken 2 other rear ends just by accidently dumping the clutch. Also, Ive gotten an 87 mph trap at 8.7 second et before on the same boost, not sure how that works and I also got the yellow copy of the slip on my 8.3 second run even though he only traped like 82 and his time was an 8.6 or so? The guy had a gutted and slicked crx and I dont know what mods he had on his car and his reaction time was way better than me as I was having trouble staging and Im not very experienced with the track but I think its just weird that I had a faster et and trap and he still got the white. Maybe it was an oversight.
I do really enjoy the track though and cant wait to go again. I was just hoping my car isnt slow for my mods for some reason and hope I can get into the sevens at the eighth before I go to a 1/4 mile track cause I want to click off low 12's and possibly high 11's there. I dont know if 11's is possible with my setup, but Ill go with a hogged out head and cams once I max out what Ive got if thats what it takes to get me there.
Well, thx for the help and hopefully you and others will chime in with other useful info.

Times aren't to bad for your set-up, i would turn the boost up and get a better 60ft and you should be in the 7's no prob. With a evo 3 at 22-23 psi i was running consistant 7.7's.

The guy in the crx got the win light cause he got there first, it doesn't matter if you ran a better ET it's just that he beat you on the light. Don't worry about reaction times as they don't reflect on your ET, just wait till your ready to go.

Good info there. That makes perfect sense now that you mention it.

I also forgot to mention in the previous post that my friend's talon had an eprom with stock everything and a 55k stutter box for launching and he had new tires too.
Not to mention he's British and for some reason Brits seen to have a knack for being able to drive the hell out of anything with wheels, LOL.

I really cant wait to go back with 24 psi. I tuned my car for it yesterday at 11:1 afr and 22 degrees peak timing but get 7- 10 counts of knock between 6500 and 7000 rpms so Im going to burn a new chip and take 2 degrees out cause that knock at that boost isnt good for the stock studs and headgasket and I dont want to do this on meth or race gas.
I hope I can pull a 7.7 or so, Id be happy with that. Hell, there was a guy at the track with a trailered honda prelude with slicks and a huge t4 setup and a 400 whp dyno sheet who only got a 7.9 that night. Thanks for the info, Im just glad that you guys think my car is up to par for what it is right now cause for a moment there I thought she was running a little slow.
