Shaft play

Since I have the MAFT I took off the stock MAS and filter and just have the turbo inlet covered with a wire screen. Could that cause shaft play? Because when I go WOT is only goes to about 10 psi slowly and it is set at 18 psi. I need my performance back.

When you get shaft pay the turbo typically spools fine right up until catastrophic failure, and not having a filter, while unwise, does not inherently cause issues.

put a filter on the turbo inlet and look for a small leak. BOV, IC & PIPING. blown off lines. get some starting fluid andstart spraying!

check if ur turbo has pully play. if it don't u probubly have vacum leaks like i did. if ur turbo has some pully play u will see some smoke comming out of exust, also when turbo goes bad it takes a while to wind up the boost, when my t-25(stock turbo) got bad i made bearly 7lb and it took me a while to wind it up. and usally takes me fast.

Yeah I think I'm going to get my turbo checked out, it does take a while to wind up boost.
