shaft play help!!

ok i just bought a borg warner s362 extended tip turbo new it has shaft play i was told that its suppose to untill it gets oil pressere to it i want to no for sure so i no iff i should exchange it before time runs out because it cost me a little over $ 1500 please help me !!

A little up and down is ok. There should be very very little to none in/out play. If it has in/out play then the seals inside are starting to wear out and you will be burning oil in the near future.

it moves about 0.039 mm back and forth to where if you push it one way its less than a peice of paper thick away from the case thers no in and out at all and it spins freely

If you would have said 1-2mm then I would have said "Send it back". But, I wouldn't worry about it. If it's brand new you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Slap it on and get some oil in that thing and it will feel better.

ok thank you 2 more Q do you no where i can get an adapter to go from 4 bolt wg to 2 bolt wg because mine is a 2 bolt 38mm wg or should i sell it and get a bigger 4 bolt


also do you need a cage for 10 sec runs on time only's
