Ok I have read the FAQ on how to set timing. when I try to put the jumper wire on the car dies and will not stay running. I tried adjusting without the wire to 5 degrees BTDC and the car runs like crap. The car has an AEM Engine Management system. There are ways to set it there. I can advance and retard the engine timing from the computer but I need a starting point. If I did this wouldn't you set the car timing to 0 TDC? Is there anyone out there familiar with the AEM?

Probably not in the newb section try posting it in the tuning forum..or even better have a Mod come and move it. I think that you will get your question answered better over there. Sam
