serious engine swap

alright i have a family of mechanics and everyone hets a car that theylike and customizes them lately there have been some big engine swaps my cuz has a honda civic dx hatchback did a 20v engine with his (crv engine) my female cuz has a miata with a integra type r engine and the big certified mechanic (my bro) put a 13b(rotary) in his 1986 toyota corolla coupe im the slowest 1 besides my moms 94 corolla with 97hp. so my question is what big ebgine swaps could i do to my 1g that would really bump up my car? swap a 4g63t and slap on a big turbo and supporting mods. Thats about it.

yea i can do that but i was looking for something real big like lancer engine. the guy that i bought the car fom has 3 other cars all awd 1gs he had put a v6 on a awd talon and started tryin to put a starion engine and make the car r rear wheel drive on 1 and started preparin to put a v8(not sure what engine) in the other, but he went to jail for racing and tryin to evade the cops before he could finish........... if someone knows of a big project like that let me know

the lancer evo engine is still a 2 liter.and putting a starion engine or a v6 in a talon is dumb.your losing a lot of power,and people with starions are always swapping out that 2.6 for the 4g63,for more power.theres plenty of guys on here runnin circles around v8s and even v10 vipers.the 4g63 has been proven to over 1000hp.

Do you know what it costs to buy a viper? Even a Corvette for that matter? Assuming you buy a more expensive stock 1G, you still have about 47,000 more in your bank account than any person who bought the corvette.

I believe an extra 47,000 will get you well into the 10 second times!.

Prove me wrong and be the first. I own a Conquest TSi(1987) and im a fan of the big 2.6L 4. Obviously if a 4g63 can be swapped into a Conquest then the process can be reversed.

So get to work.

You could always do a 2.3L stroker on a 4g63t and make some good numbers. That might be something more of what youre looking for.

swapping in anything but a 4g63 turbo would be pointless. If you are really worried about it do a built 2.4 stroker with a fat turbo. And another thing, most 1000hp vipers still don't run in the single digits

Like I said, Go for it then. You obvisously have all the skills needed to perform an engine swap of this caliber considering you have a miata with an integra engine, and a civic with an engine that you have absolutly no idea about, and a corolla with an 13B rotary in it!!

Btw is that 13B from a turbo II FC or is it the 13B-REW from a twin turbo FD? Or maybe its one of the few fuel injected 13B's that were put into the 85 FB plateform?

For the amount of time, money and work required to drop any engine but a 4g63T you could have a ridicoulous quick car with $$$ left to spare.

Oh and for the corvette guy, yes I understand stock vs stock/mod vs mod a corvette engine is far superior. However when I have even a 10grand head start over any C5, guess who is going to be faster. And remember, if a 350 had the efficiency of some of the cars on this website it would be making over 1100 daily driveable rear wheel horsepower.

With enoough time and money swap in anything you can get to fit.

As far as normal goes swap in a turbo motor, build it and then you will be fast.

Don't swap just to swap or look cool?

Obviously if a 4g63 can be swapped into a Conquest then the process can be reversed.
