Self-Threading Bolts

I'm aware that there are self-threading oil drain plugs that you can buy instead of having to rethread the oil pan. My question is, are there bolts out there of all sizes? I stripped my the threads on the oil pan for return oil line. I know I might have to take the oil pan off and rethread, but I was curious about these self-threading bolts.

Yes. Self-tapping bolts are made in quite a number of sizes. Just go to Home Depot or Lowes.

Do you guys think that using a self-threading bolt would be okay for what I'm doing?

I'm in the same situation here. Anybody know what size would probably be best? Or should I just bring one of the OEM bolts and find one thats a little bigger?
