Okay heres the issue:

Im driving along and i hit a bump or something like driving out of the driveway and the car shuts off for a split second!!!!! It doesn't happen all the time but its kinda scary.... it doesnt matter how hard the jolt is b/c ive had it happen on small jolts and not on big ones then ive had it happen on big jolts and not on small ones WTF is going on>?!?!?!?!? Please help...... thanx

My first suggestion is from experience, check the make sure your battery is secure and its clearing the hood. I had replaced my terminals on my former DSM (93Talon) and they sat high on the battery, first bump I hit the car shut off and you can see where it arced on the inside of the hood.

Do you have an after market audio system (amp, subs and stuff?) If so check the power cable that goes through the fire wall, when i got my car the jerkoff that installed all that stuff before didnt put (i forget what they are called-not split loom) thing that you stick your wire through and protects the wire from slicing open in the hole. Anyways in time, the wire was gashed open from the fire wall and shorted out. That would cause my car to shut off and nothing at all would work. Check that!

hey thanks for the replies guys........i checked the battery but it's secure and there are no signs of arcing on the hood or anything of that nature.......i do know that this all started happening as soon as i left from getting my smog done.......i know the guy was checking all kinds of stuff in my car trying to make me change everything to make it "legal"...... he took the cap off of where the fusible links for the engine an shit are i dont know if he could have messed thoughs up or something IDK what do you guys think?

rubber gromet?

it has to be a wireing problem.. push all fuses and relays in to make sure they aren't loose... check the ground and postive wire to make sure they are connected tightly, and that the connection is clean. i'd also break out a multimeter and check for voltage drop from battery terminal to ground...

Rubber Gromet! Thats the word i was looking for. Double check the wires that go from the fuse box to the battery. Do you have the after market stereo set up? If so double check that power wire. Thats what happened to me and i just had to replace that one wire and put the gromet in the hole of the fire wall and all my problems were fixed.
