2G Secondary fuel line?

Can anyone tell me what this is? Appears to be a secondary fuel line if I was making a wild guess... but I only have one line coming off the tank. Car is an early 95 TSI AWD. I don’t have this line on my 98 gst donor car.

I’ll be able to next time I work on it, going to be a few days before I get back out there so I figured I’d ask. I’ll report back with my findings though in case anyone else runs across this.

That’s for the canister, (smog related) it comes from the tank but is just smog related.

Thanks so much! My dinner plans got canceled so I just went and traced it back to the tank and was going to post some more pics. I guess that probably connected to the charcoal canister that I don’t have?

Yes it looks like you don’t have the canister.

Just leave it as is, do not put anything on that line, that is a breather for the fuel tank so leave it exposed to the atmosphere.
