I am in the process of rebuilding my 95 AWD tranny. I am currently pressing on the intermediate shaft components. I feel kind of silly asking this question, but I just want to make sure everything is correct before I put it back together. Does the second gear double synchro prevent second gear (intermediate shaft) from spinning freely. I would be very strange to me if it did, but it will not spin with the slider pressed on. The slider is not engaged. I have a factory service manual and I have double checked that all components are on correctly. Also, how much play should there be in each gear along the shaft? Thanks.
