Hey guys, I just got my racing seats and 3 point Y-belts in today and I had a few questions about them. FIrst off I have a 1990 tsi awd and as you all know there is an automatic seatbelt which has no anchor in the back so I wasn't positive where I should mount the 2nd point on my seatbelts so I anchored it to the back seat seatbelt's anchor. The other 2 points I have no questions about, but I have read in some places that the harness in not supposed to be at more than a 35 degree angle, mine is at like a 70 degree angle, to acheive a 35 degree angle I would have to drill holes into the body or anchor it to the bottom of the seat bracket. I thought about that for a while, but I decided that that couldnt be safe because it would put way too much stress on the seat if I got in a crash. If someone could just tell me if the way I did it is safe and/or autoX legal...i know it depends on what autoX but just generally. Thanks guys.
