A few people got the BB 5031 in this thread

I picked up a dual ball bearing 50 trim from PTE in December and love it. I upgraded from an EVO III and the difference at high boost is amazing. Spool-up is 22psi in the sub 3500 range on my car. Not a bad deal at all. Only problem I had was clearance issues between the oil restrictor on the top of the turbo and the 90* bend on the top of the oil feed line. Another manifold-turbo gasket solved this until I got the SBR manifold.

I also bot my pte bb 57trim from sbr in december and no problems here. Spool for me is at 3800-4000 at 21psi.

I orderd a 65 trim from them about 2 weeks ago and havent gotten it yet. But i cant wait to see what it can do.

Matt, you also need to add in that yo have a built 2.0L w/ 9:1 CR, and ported and polished head w/ 1mm OS valves, so your spoolup is most likely a bit better than someone with stock like engine and head.

However, I was seeing 22 psi by 4k on stock 6 bolt and head while running Comp 101200's and my SBR G50. I hope to see 22 psi by 3500 or so on my 2.3L

i just bought the last pte bb 57 trim...it will be here on monday. i will let you know how it goes, i also have a 9:1 motor with ported/polished head.

True, but I would suspect a stock 2g could get it around 3500 with proper tuning. With my SBR manifold and external gate I hit 22 psi around 3200ish, so it might not be so far off to predict 3500 or less on a 8.5cr motor. Once more people with milder engine set-ups report results back we will know more.

Matt, that was a scary ride. I can't wait to see what that thing is like tuned.... we may have to stop first so I can pick up some Depends. ROFL

Those SBR turbos - are they still going for those prices? I heard they were going way up?

holy shit, they just changed the page and the price just jumped 100$, ####in a!

I too have joined the ranks of the PTE BB 50 trim. I need a couple things to get it back on the road first but i'll let everyone know how it performs once i do. I'm really hoping to be able to get full boost by 3500.

We have a "few" of the PTE BB 50 trims left in stock at old pricing, when these are gone prices will go up about $100.00 as well.

Crap... I was hoping they would stay about the same for at least a year or so. Oh well, $100 isn't that much more. Just means I'll have to save a bit longer. :sosad:

$100 more?? At TheSpeedFactor the price is about $1125 now. Maybe that's because I got it internally gated though..
