ok before this goes to far.. their is limits to this conversation. I would be curious to know what turbo that was on. A GT35R is a big street turbo but inconsideration of race turbos, is on the smaller size. That turbo ia a 65 lb/min turbo. that almost 650 hp rating. Now a larger turbo rated at 850hp would make 650 hp at a lower boost because you arent maxing out the flow rates. Its as simple as saying a a 50trim at 15 psi can make as much power as a 16g at 21psi. It isnt just boost pressure, but to maximize potential of the tubro, you do. All the fast guys in DSMs run 35plus psi, and they are making almost the peak power of their turbos rating. so can someone make 648 hp on 28 psi?? sure, i bet its big,. and with that low of boost on a big tubro the graph was almost flat until it started to spool and make any kind of power. And that lag, isnt a good drag turbo unless you are launching it at 7k and keeping the rpms in the range where boost is being made.

I only dream of that kind of power and I have a very similar turbo (GT-14 from SBR). I cant even get my boost over 22 PSI, let alone 42+. That's it, I'm driving my car from CO Springs up to SBR.

Kidding kidding, I'm just going to toss this GReddy BOV out the window. :thumb:

Was that pull made on your FWD? if so very impressive, i bet you cant wait untill pitt dragway opens up again...

on an off topic note, finally got my engine in and running last saturday, runs awesome, smooth and quiet, those new lifters made a huge difference

But nice numbers, i just might have to come back to PA to watch that thing go :thumb:

That was FWD but not with the FWD car, its in my AWD race car. Just for an update, I finally got the Haltech in the car and a little bit bigger turbo:

707whp and 540ft-lbs making peak power at redline LOL at ONLY 32psi.

It is a T4 T66, came 75lb/min compressor as the T67, but with a larger GT-Q turbine in a .82 A/R housing. Also using a Tial 44mm Gate and an HKS T4 manifold.

I only ran the car to 7500 rpms on the dyno and didnt have time to bump up the rpms for some more runs. Motor is out now so the car and get painted, get the JICs under it, and ready for this season.

Where are you getting spool up on that thing at? And full boost?

Full boost was right around 5500rpms. I'll try to get the dyno graph up today, if not first thing on Monday, I'll be in the Bahamas on a business trip from tonight until late Sunday. Get to leave the snow behind and sit on the beach for a few days :D

Lol, not quite. One of our customers is flying Mike and I down to tune and drive two of his cars. One is an EVO III with our 50trim and one of our motors. The other is my dream car, an R32 Skyline GTR V-Spec :thumb: :thumb:

Its going to be a sharp learning curve driving on the right hand side of the car and shifting with the left.

I wish! I'd be there in a heartbeat if you guys were closer!

On a side note, that 707 is awesome. You guys rock :rocks:

4g63 for me do you have any pics of your car? I was curious to see what it looks like since you dont have a gallery.

No pictures yet, I'll get a few up soon (after I get a car wash).

One of the Moderators (I forget which) here had a Silver 98 Eagle Talon, but ended up selling it. He had a bunch of pictures up, and it looked exactly like mine, only mine has black trim.

so this is somewhat off the topic maybe..who knows.. anyways here goes.. im thinking about getting a GT35r for my 2.3 stroker w/ fpcam3's and megasquirt system.. i currently have the fp3575.. my question is which gt35r should i get?? i want to make good power. its not a daily driver.. just a weekend toy... so IF i get a gt35r which one should i get?? like which hotside?? i was looking at the gt35r w/ the mitsu housing but ive read its kind of a shit deal.. is this true?? the 3575 IS bigger then the gt35r as far a s flow correct? the 3575 flows 75lbs/min and is very comparable to the gt37 from what ive read.. should i just keep my 3575? the ONLY reason in thinking of selling it in favor of the gt35r is because i might be getting a dsm that has 60k miles on it and i want to run the 2.0 for a while before i throw the stroker in. and the 3575 will be shit on the 2.0, and the gt35r would be better as far as spool up etc. so IF i get the gt35r which one should i get that would be good for the 2.0 and the 2.3 soon. and i could sell my 3575 and buy the gt35r (w/ the mitsu housing and i think its the gt35rls) and still have a good chunk of $$ left over sitting in the bank...what would ANY of you do? thanx in advance.. :thumb:

Out of curiosity, why post this in a 6 month old thread instead of just starting a new one?

i was at work and didnt think to look at the dates of the posts.. where can i find info on the gt35rls?? and is that turbo worth a shit since it has the mitsu exhaust housing?? wont that be a small wheel then? i looked on precision but cant find anything there ??
