K, that should work, the whole video wasnt there the first time.

Thanks again to Seth for hosting these.

blind as a bath in there, and next time you dyno, along with the tq being past 600, it better be past it! Do it in awd mode! Us awd people could care less what an awd puts down in fwd mode. I know it easier to make hp that way.

The AWD Dynapacks will be here on Friday, so yes we will have a awhp number for you soon. The main reason that the car is fwd right now is that the awd tranny is at Sheps and i'm waiting on te clutch. Right now there is a stock 6-bolt FWD flywheel, our 4000 clutch, and a stock 90 AWD tranny in there.

Very impressive numbers name.

I cant believe that you are doing that with a stock ecu and old school S-AFC.
You're giving me something to shoot for with my turbo. But I'm not nearly as crazy as you are though.

Get the video of your pull during the day up yet?

Im amazed at the numbers and patiently waiting for a better vid...

John,

From what I know about it.... the 3065 is a great turbo... same CHRA as our SBR GT14.... just a slightly larger turbine housing, etc.... the 35R is a fun turbo.... we will have the 67 MM turbo on here soon and post numbers as well.... and we will spin it a little higher just for you, rings are surely seated now :)

The chassis car has come back from the shop, so our focus has been getting it ready for the 2005 season... however, yes we will soon run the T67 on Nate's car just for shits and giggles soon. We expect about another 40-50 WHP.

What is the liquid coming from your bumper right under your P/S headlight right after the dyno run?????

Beatlejuice, beatlejuice, beatlejuice.

LOL

Its actually coolant from the overflow, the headgasket started to let go this pass. Stock headgasket with an o-ring. Recently switched to a copper gasket.

Damn Topline HG's and 10 plus 600 WHP runs..

Do not use topline head gaskets if you need to make more than 600 WHP... we are the only people that should attempt this madness.... :)

Stay with the MLS, the copper ones can be a pain to get to seal, and I woulnd't run one without an o-ringed head.

Just made a few more pulls on the dyno with some more boost and some corrections on the AFC.

629.6whp & 530wtq

... above 42psi. Not to bad for a bolt on "tiny" a/r housing.

Nate

You think that might be the reason you need 42 psi to get those power numbers ;), from a 2.3 no less. Not knocking you guys since I buy from you guys,,,

Ok and your poingt is what exactly? no one has made that much power on that turbo without nitrous. And anyone in the DSM world making 600+ HP is running minimum of 35 psi. its just that simple to get a big turbo to make power you need to run high boost.

There is a nice difference between 35 and 42 psi wouldn't you say ;) The higher psi also hurts more the higher you raise the boost. Not to mention the temps and the fact the runs were made on a dynapack don't hurt the numbers any. Nice accomplishments though :) Oh, never said thanks for the Christmas card :D

ok before this goes to far.. their is limits to this conversation. I would be curious to know what turbo that was on. A GT35R is a big street turbo but inconsideration of race turbos, is on the smaller size. That turbo ia a 65 lb/min turbo. that almost 650 hp rating. Now a larger turbo rated at 850hp would make 650 hp at a lower boost because you arent maxing out the flow rates. Its as simple as saying a a 50trim at 15 psi can make as much power as a 16g at 21psi. It isnt just boost pressure, but to maximize potential of the tubro, you do. All the fast guys in DSMs run 35plus psi, and they are making almost the peak power of their turbos rating. so can someone make 648 hp on 28 psi?? sure, i bet its big,. and with that low of boost on a big tubro the graph was almost flat until it started to spool and make any kind of power. And that lag, isnt a good drag turbo unless you are launching it at 7k and keeping the rpms in the range where boost is being made.
