What the heck does the turbine housing have to do with the size of the exhaust wheel?

I think you need to call a few places and get some tech info....

No one on this list who uses the 35R CHRA in their turbos uses the Mitsu turbine housing, all of us cast our own to work with factory manifold and o2 housing.

i was asking about the the mitsu exhaust housing because i read somewhere that it works ok but it is MUCH better w/ the garrett housing??? i read yesterday on a thread and it was someone at slowboy that said he runs the gt35rls (i think) on his car and its great...if it wasnt the rls then it was some gt35r turbo that bolts upto the stock manifold and O2 housing.. all im asking is .. is the gt35rls (or whatever it is that will bolt to a stock manifold and O2 housing) a good version of the gt35r?? incase you hadnt noticed i dont know much about the garrett turbos and what ALL of the options are.. i dont want to go full garrett and i would like to run a gt35r because of the ball bearing center section, and the spool up it would have on a 2.0 and a 2.3, as well as the top end abililties of this turbo.. i posted on this thread because all the poeple/shops that KNOW about these turbos and options to go w/ them and what to order are posting / reading this thread. and i was wanting intelligent info and opinions.

i can get a gt35rls BUT is this a good turbo and will it make 500+ whp on a 2.3 stroker and what will it make on a 2.0, w/ supporting mods?? (fpcam2 or 3's, built head, fuel system etc) or is there a BETTER gt35r out there w/ out having to go full garrett?? sorry for the ignorance, i just thought it would be better to post here and get the correct info from everyone here.... :confused:

LOL you asses I wanted to see the answer to the question you asked and you called him up and got your answer on the phone. I am trying to create a stock 2.0 monster. I have MLS HG ARP studs and bolts and bolt load of bolt on shit either on or on the way. I want to know how bad ass a GT35RLS w/ a stock manifold and 02 housing exhaust housing will be on a 7:8:1 compression engine with stock pistons and rods before I start leaving engine parts behind me. I think I might try and follow SBR foot steps and stick with my stock 90 ecu cause I figure that if they can make 600+whp I can get the 475-500awhp I'm lookin for out of this thing with stock ecu. I just want to hear What you guys at SBR think the basic characteristics will be with this setup listed below.


Completely rebuilt enging (rebuilt head w/ 3 angle valve job, rebuilt bottom end w/ new pistons and 1g big) w/ ARP head studs MLS HG no b/s
