Should tell bubbs that I figured out how to hook the surround sound from the dvd player to blu-ray player with a avi cable.

Should know I have a 1000w phillips home theater system HTS3372D also I have a Magnavox bluray player. I did not want to buy a new surround sound because this is just for our bed room system but I figured out how to hook up the surround from the dvd player to the blu-ray with avi cables. The sound is still the same as when I just use it with the normal dvd player so I guess yes you can hook up surround from a dvd player to blu ray player.

ED, do you see in one of those picture where it says audio in..Look for one that says audio out..Hook that up to audio in on the back of the tv, and then you can hook the sorround form the tv on audio out to the sorrround....But your tv has to be new enough to have those fuctions..
