Knows I buy Blu Ray for select titles and buy used, I'm on a budget. If it's an older movie forget it, DVD is fine if your player scales up anyway.

Nothing quite like speghetti westerns for clarity and content

Should know that Blu-Ray is still better than upgraded DVDs, but I agree that for most movies, DVD is just fine. Also, Blu-Ray only works with HDMI cables.

Should know all my blu ray movies I bought real cheap last xmas because some store was closing down. I think I bought four movies for $20.

Knows if you have 5.1 Surround it makes a difference, if using optical audio inputs

Checkout used Blue Ray on Amazon or half.com. I have a local place called Rasputin where I can get them for $10 or less. I think $5.95 is the least I have paid.

Same here, but you can run optical Audio from a Blue Ray Machine to your Analog DVD 5.1 for great 5.1 on your Bluerays, PM me and I'll help you work out the details. I bought a connector for about $10 or $15 through Amazon.

Knows while Fast Five is a good movie, it's getting so unrealistic, it's starting to ruin it for me.

Knows the Rock/Diesel fight scene was pretty cool. There wasn't enough car action in that movie for me though.

So I just figured out today that my red Laser's radio has a backlight for the nighttime. I've always just felt around and pressed the buttons blindly. How could I have not noticed the "PUSH for LIGHT" button all this time

Knows I bought that ish on bluray..And my 5.1 sorround is wired right through the tv...If you have a really old flat screen it wont work..But if its newer one you can use the output on the tv to run your sorround..

I watched the extended version last night when I got home..Didn't notice a difference..IT was only a minute longer anyway..
