Should know the jelly is to prevent corrosion but its not a good conductor, that's why you only put it on the outside.

Knows felt pads are the way to go..But you have to know about felt pads..Or they will just sell you a battery.

baking soda and lemon juice are great for removing acid on the terminals btw.
