2G Saturn alternator power wire

i have 96 amp saturn alternator in a 2g. the stock power wire for the alternator is i believe (2) 10guage wire. i want to reroute the wiring heading to back of engine due to my alternator being relocated back there.
why are there (2) 10guage wires for the power?

Thats just the way Mitsu decided to do it from the factory probably to save a little bit of money, most upgrade to a single thicker guage wire anyway.

TO handle the amount of current the alternator is putting out, IIRC our cars come with a 90amp alt, so it would be to 8ga wires which handle up to 104 Amp without problems.

My alt pig tail and some wires are a bit toasted from my waste gate previously, any write up on how to replace them? Might as well do a thicker gauge while I'm at it?

The 2 white alt. Wires trace back to the master fuse box panel. They go thru a aaltenator fuse, then the two white wires come out and touch the battery. Diesect your master fuse box panel and it wwill become super ovbious how it all works. Upgrade the alt wires to a singe number 6 gauge wire.
