safcII- suggestions on what i should set it at?

i have the safcII i just bought the car and it came with it... it has 272 cams a walbro fuel pump intake exhaust and its running 14lbs of boost.... it smeells like its running rich and all that..... can you give me suggestions on what to set it at? im not sure on what to set it at at each rpm...

You shouldn't adjust anything unless you have a wide band or have it on a dyno...just to be safe.

if $200 for a wideband is too much money for you

get evoscan for $80 bucks... log your car... play with the afc, and tune for no knock and a good timing curve ...

example of my car settings

-24% across on low ... my fuel trims on spot on ...
hi setting is -10 from 1k to 4K .... -19 from 4.4k - 7K ....

do not copy for your car, every car will be different, just use this an idea..

just adjust according the logger or wideband...

It smells rich because you dont have a AFPR for the walbro, and right now if you dont have bigger injectors and a datalogger the afc serves no purpose.

fill out your DSM info... what injectors do you have? wally 190 or 255 ?

Apexi Super AFC For The Eclipse/EVO

Same thing as the SAFC-II, just more adjustment points.

Use a logger to watch your knock, timing, IDCs and O2 sensor.
Or buy the AEM UEGO, since it's damn cheap these days and rocks.
Or buy both and do your research on what to watch and make adjustments accordingly.

Last option - take it to a shop to tune it.

255 Requires a AFPR. Still do/get one of the things i mentioned though.
