I just recently bought a 91 Talon TSI. It has about 50k on engine and a tranny that was swapped with a lower milage one...the body has 99k on it.

The tranny has a ACT 2100.

the motor has the following mods:
3in. Pacesetter down pipe,
3in Thermal cat-back
3in. Test pipe
K&N Filter
Greddy 2G big core FMIC
2.25in. lower IC piping
2.5in. Upper IC piping
Greddy Type-S b.o.v.
2.5in custom elbow
Buschur Billet MBC

So i have 2 questions :)

1. What PSI should i be set at that would be very easy on the motor but still give me some power? (i need this motor to last me until i go to college in the fall....LOL)

i was thinking about 8-10psi.....but this is thru years of working on an aftermarket turbo on a cavalier....i dunno what a stock turbo system can run safely.

2. This is an embrassing question but i would rather ask then be sorry..............How do i adjust the manual boost controller. its a Bushchur billet MBC......is it..........

-Turn IN to decrese boost
-Turn OUT to Increase boost

IF someone who is experinced with DSM be kind enough to answer these 2 questions for me i would be so thankful!

Thanks for any help in advance!

:talon:

Thank you very much! I had a feeling it was somewhere in that range but i justed wanted to double check.

Based on the mods i have listed....

Would any of you reccomend a S-AFC 2.....i heard this is a nice computer set up that will help monitor your air fuel ratio and let you adjust everything to help take away rough idles and running too rich or too lean..

Is this effective on stock injectors?

Or would i be better off with just an aftermarket FMU

Thanks

It'd be a good idea to get some kind of fuel control coupled with a datalogging package like pocketlogger, although I wouldn't recommend anything BUT DSMLink although the price is inhibitive. It depends on how far you want to go with your car. You'll get a LOT more out of DSMLink, but for what you're trying to accomplish (getting the most out of the stock injectors), the SAFC and Pocketlogger combo will be okay.
