SAFC2 Install Questions...

i've been to all of the sites...and can't seem to find a definitive wiring diagram for the safc2.

apexi's website has everything for the 1st gen safc, but i just want to double check the wiring diagram because i have wired something incorrectly on my 91 gsx.

i have this information...if someone could confirm this it would be great.

Wires off of SAFC2

Pink: air flow signal output (to AFC) From Wiring Harness
Orange: air flow signal input (to ecu from AFC) to Pin 10
Green: Rpm Signal Wire (to Pin 54)
Brown: Ground closer to ECU
Black: Ground, farther from ECU
Red: Power
Grey: Throttle Signal to Pin 19


I'm referencing this diagram for the 1g DSM Pin's...which i'm sure is correct...and i'm thinking the wires changed colors from the 1st gen afc to this one...

Thanks for your help. I have everything wired, and the SAFC does have power...i do have a check engine light...and the idle is bouncing around 2000 rpm. I'm guessing i didn't wire the throttle signal or rpm signal properly...but i wanted to double check before i tear through the wires.

I just found steve's response from an earlier post about the APEXI directions being incorrect. I do have the RPM signal hooked up to pin 54...

i'm going to try hooking it up to Pin 21 which i hope will fix the problem.

If anyone could confirm this...it'd be great.

well the problem is solved.

close the thread...i accidentally switched off of karman somehow.

rpm issue is also solved by switching to 2cyl instead of 4cly.
