safc vs GM maf translator?

So exactly what is the difference? i have deson 780cc injectors with a S-AFC but i was reading about its a good upgrade to go to a GM maf which is a 3 inch pipe.. then i read u have to buy a maf translator for the GM maf to work... My question is can you run both S-AFC and GM maf translator.. or once i put in the gm maf i can only run the GM maf translator? does the GM maf translator take place of my S-AFC? or you have to run both?

If your running the MAFT with a GM MAF, then you dont need to use an SAFC. The MAFT does the same and even more than what the SAFC does.
