so i searched and never got a warm fuzzy.
i really like the look of the safc II and all its features. it is a lot cheaper then the megasquirt and portfueller. i have heard it wont work with the ml. so how do i get it to work with my 97 420a turbo? what kinda supporting mods will i need to run the sacf II? right now i have stock injectors a 12:1 fmu and a walbro 255.

it will work with the missing link, i cant see why it wouldnt or why people think it wouldnt. all the ML does is block the MAP from seeing boost. its mechanical, not electronic. as for supporting mods, EGT for safety and some sort of A/f gauge. but a MS would definatly be better.

most people go to the sfmu like the one from vortech
it gives you more control

there are a lot of posts around about which spring and which ring to use with what size injectors etc etc

it would be nice is someone came up with a chart that would provide a good starting point

so should i keep my fmu on with it then?
YES! a s-afc does not do the same thing as the fmu

well he's already got a regular fmu, and since hes running stock injectors he doesnt really need idle fuel pressure controll, so he can stick with the fmu for now.

thanks for all the input. so do you thank the afpr would work? and i guess a aem wideband would be helpfull too?

yes, thats exactly my plan. after i get the turbo going, ill get an AEM wideband w/ gauge for fine tuning with the s-afc. then later you can still use that with the megasquirt.
