Just to clear things up...
You CAN run just an AFC, larger injectors, and a fuel pump WITHOUT an AFPR. We've done this for years on 420A turbo kits and this is why we sell the kit this way. From experience, running a 1:1 FPR, 550s, and a fuel pump, you will not be able to pull enough fuel out with an AFC unless you lower fuel pressure considerably.
Also, the AFC works great on a 420A to TAKE OUT FUEL. If you try to add in fuel, and send more than 5v to the ecu from the MAP signal, you know what happens.
I would reccommend against just a rising rate regulator with no rpm dependant fuel control as it is near impossible to get it right, especially with 550s.
Also, the car idles great without an AFPR with corrections at the AFC. We send our kit with AFC settings to get you very close, fine tuning is recommended.
If you also have EXPERIENCE with this please post, but keep the hearsay by buddy did it on some forums somewhere along time ago and made 1000hp somewhere else.
