I am currently running a GM MAF with a v-1.3 translator. I also have a brand new SAFC II sitting in the box. I would like to use the GM MAF for its blow-through setup capabilities, and an SAFC II for its tuning capabilities. Does anyone know how to make the MAFT and the SAFC II work simultaniously, even if the MAFT doen no more than translate the signal from the GM MAF???

I've never personally seen a translator, but doesn't it have gain knobs? If you set these knobs/adjustments back to baseline then the SAFC will work fine with the MAFT.

GM MAF+ translator and apex-i AFC complement eachother great. be sure to get a logger also.

tons of people use them in combo

I am running the blow through MAFT 1.3 v as well as an AFC II. I first had my MAFT zeroed out since I didnt have a logger so I didnt tune with it plus I had my stock injectors. When I got my AFC II and 680cc injectors what I did was set my MAFT to 680cc sized injectors then I installed my AFC and had a world of problems. My idle was really weird and my car wouldnt want to start...After finally checking everything out what I did was set the MAFT back to all 0's and turned the car on worked like a charm. I dont know how this is affecting the setup since sometimes I do get a rough Idle as well. Dont meant to steal your thread but Any1 else have this problem, if so how did you fix it? I think by asking this maybe it will help us both so I can get my car running, and so you wont be facing this problem. Good Luck.

Well, I have a logger, as well as 680ccs. I knew I would have to set the idle, mid and wot back to zero, but I was unsure about setting the injector size. As it is, the 1.3 version does not accomodate 680 cc injectors, only 650 and 700.

those numbers are not accurate anyways. Every click to the right on the translator is just taking away fuel (setting injector base).I have 680's and I find it best to set it to 650's and then play with the adjustments until I do a good pull. When I had 450's, I had the base set at 2 (475's i believe). Base settings are just an adjustment of a signal to the ecu in percentages.

I am currently running v1.3 with safc first version. I set the injecter base with the maft, then I fine tune with the safc. Seems to be working for me.
